‘Tasty Fish’ continued its dominance of the 60th Skate Nationals at the Ceduna Sailing Club with another victory in Heat 7 of the series, sailed in a Northerly breeze of 8 to 12 knots.

The Western Australian father-son duo of Brett and Cameron Fannon won its sixth heat of the seven heat series to walk away from the regatta with a dominant victory.

Michael Winney and Emma Sills on ‘Take it Easy’ secured third overall coming over the line second with David Luck and Damien Vlotman on ‘Any Which Way’ coming third in the final heat to finish runners up overall.

The win was Brett’s third and Cameron’s second and also their second championship win together following on from their previous win in the 58th Championship at Rockingham, Western Australia.

The regatta, which was held as part of the SA Summer of Sail Festival, was the fifth time the Ceduna Sailing Club has hosted the event and the visitors enjoyed their time, vowing to be back in the future.

The 61st Skate Nationals will be held in Busselton, Western Australia, which is expected to draw another solid fleet.
