LAST Saturday saw a forecast of about 20 to 25 knots from the southwest on Boston Bay for what was to be a great session of club racing for the Port Lincoln Yacht Club with racing on for one and all.

The local keel boat fleet had a harbour race where all boats finished, albeit one lost spinnaker, while the international cadets, 420s, lasers and sharpies all sailed two races between the main wharf and the Port Lincoln Hotel.

Wind ranged from 15 to 25 knots for the off-the-beach classes, which provided some challenging conditions for all involved.

Every boat in the fleet finished both races, which was a credit to the determination of all the club sailors in Port Lincoln.

The cadet fleet had a great battle with Sam Paynter and Gil Casanova in Full Speed Ahead going up against Alyssa and Mitchell Kelsey.
