Well, as predicted the wind and swell played right into our hands today, bringing the goods for almost 100 Windsurf and Kitesurf Wave Competitors.
Winds we up around 20knts and swell well over 2 meters, which turned Lancelin Beach and Back Beach into a playground for adrenaline seeking Classic surfers.
Competitors were out on the waves for over 5 hours, with judges doing great job in the choppy seas.
The Women’s Windsurfing Wave Final was up first with Justyna Sniady and Jane Seman dominating on some massive waves. The Men’s Elite Final will be a tight call with some some spectacular moves from Jaeger Stone and Ben Proffitt. In the Kitesurfing, Peri Roberts dominated the day, showing the men how to kite by winning 2 heats!
The results from the Wave Comp will be released tomorrow, so keep an eye on your inbox and our Facebook page for all the details. Presentations for all events will take place in the Event Village on Lancelin Beach from 5pm.
In the meantime, check out these sick shots from JC Photography and Ollie Jacobs
