PLENTY MORE TO COME TOMORROW
That’s a wrap for the day guys, there are some tired sailors and everyone who is at the bar is definitely well lubricated and not fit for a video interview (ha ha). We’ll rejoin you tomorrow at the Port Lincoln Yacht Club for the race presentation.
Also if you’re at home tonight, tune in to Channel 7 and Channel 9 news tonight who are covering the race result and grab a copy of the Sunday Mail tomorrow to see their report.
3.10pm – Matt Richards, Marcus Korobacz, Shining Sea
Marcus and Matt, who sail on Shining Sea, had a few laughs in the bar after what was a gruelling race to Port Lincoln. They will be sticking around for the regatta week and are looking forward to another year in Port Lincoln.
9.30am – Sam Haynes interview, Celestial skipper
Sam Haynes, skipper of TP52 Celestial, spoke to us about how he and his team fared in the boat’s first ever Adelaide to Port Lincoln Yacht Race. He said although the race “wasn’t like it said in the brochure” it was still a great experience.
8.15am — Adam Common, Chester Armstrong, Secret Men’s Business
We caught up with Secret Mens Business bowmen Adam Common and Chester Armstrong to chat to them about how the race was up the front. With all the breeze on the nose, it was cold and wet with very few sail changes.
8.00am — Chris Tillett interview, Secret Men’s Business tactician
We caught up with the tactician off Secret Mens Business, which has just finished the Teakle Classic Adelaide to Port Lincoln Yacht Race as the line honours winner. They had a great battle with the Sydney-based Celestial in what was a gruelling on-the-nose race.
