It’s the day of the race presentation for the Teakle Classic Adelaide to Port Lincoln Yacht Race, a day full of laughs and good times and hosted by the Port Lincoln Yacht Club.
We caught up with a few of the sailors to talk about how they have enjoyed the hospitality here in Port Lincoln.
Phil Coombs interview, Simply Fun skipper
Great to catch up with Phil Coombs, the skipper of the Victorian boat Simply Fun, which has made the trip to Port Lincoln for the second year in a row. At the presentation for the race at the Port Lincoln Yacht Club today, Phil cleaned up with a number of trophies. He says Port Lincoln is one of the best places you can visit with a keel boat.
Dan Turner, Tom Crabb interview, Runaway
We spoke to Dan Turner and Tom Crabb, two guys that sailed on Runaway in the race over to Port Lincoln. These two blokes brought a small crew with them but in a year’s time they’ll be sailing the boat two-up in the Melbourne Osaka race.
